Bright Side were thrilled to be able to support content creator Alfie Deyes with his recent Maltese Falcon challenge - running, cycling and kayaking across all 3 main Maltese islands to raise money for three incredible mental health charities. Bright Side helped Alfie and his team to offer some matched fundraising for their chosen causes by donating to men’s charity Dad’s Unlimited.
Dads Unlimited supports the emotional safety of men and those they care about through three key areas; supporting male victims of domestic abuse, supporting men with family separation, and supporting men’s mental health. All of their services use an evidence-based, trauma-informed, person-centred approach.
They do this through the provision of a family separation helpline, One-to-One Mentoring Advice, Mental Health Support, Family Court Support / Barrister Representation Service, Peer-led Support Groups, Education and Social Services Liaison, Pastoral Support, and Adult and Child Community Activities.
In 2021, they launched one of the UK’s first male-victim domestic abuse support services for men in Kent and Medway. This service is open to men without children as well as the Dads we support. In 2023, the service expanded to support male victims of domestic abuse across England and Wales.
A huge congratulations to Alfie, Max and Morgan for completing their chalenge and raising just over £27,000!
Bright Side is keen to encourage philanthropy among the creator community and are excited to do more work in this area in the future.
